The further we get into fall the busier things get at the Dot & Lil studio, as we plan and produce stock for our fall and holiday shows and orders. That makes any moment spent at home, away from the studio, all the more precious. Here are some photo notes from around my home this fall.

My vintage dish collection has some new jadeite pieces from fall flea market finds, and I think A. groans every time I bring another milk glass vase into the apartment. And, we just turned the page to this lovely October image on our Flakes Paperie calendar.

We had boxes and boxes of apples on hand from A.'s parents apple trees, so A. made this beautiful and so tasty apple crumb skillet pie from Food 52. It was so delicious we had it for breakfast the next morning, too. Another favourite breakfast these days is classic Montreal bagels from St-Viateur and #dotandlilmom's home-made ginger peach jam.

We now have lots of vintage honey tins for sale in the studio showroom and to be listed in the vintage shop section soon. This one, though, I just had to take home for me. It is from Sabrevoie, just a few kilometers from where A. grew up and where his parents lived when they met. I have seen a lot of vintage and antique honey tins over the years, but this one is really beautiful.

This 'Marche Avec Moi' print by Unik Printshop was spart of my holiday gift to A. two years ago and we keep moving it around so it can be pretty all over the apartment.

St. George's gin taster set from a recent California trip. We have been tasting our way through these with fall cocktails.

I hadn't put out our Stay Home Club 'Good Night' and 'Bonne Nuit pillowcases in a long time. They are my favourites (and I have a lot of pillowcases).

Plus que l'automne avance, plus qu'on travaille fort à l'atelier Dot & Lil, avec la production de nos commandes du temps des fêtes et pour les marchés et expositions qui s'en viennent. Avec des journées toutes les unes plus occupées que les autres, les moments passés à la maison et non pas à l'atelier sont encore plus précieux. Voici quelques notes & photos de chez moi ces jours-ci-- vous verrez que l'automne c'est ma saison préférée.

Ma collection de vaisselle vintage a quelques nouveaux morceaux de jadeite, que j'ai trouvé en parcourant les marchés aux puces pour faire des achats de tasses pour nos tasses-bougies et assiettes pour nos ensembles savon. Aussi, je crois que A. (le copain très, très patient) pousse un petit soupir de résignation chaque fois que je rentre un autre vase vintage 'milk glass' dans l'appartement, pour le rajouter à notre collection. Et, on vient juste de tourner la page sur notre calendrier de Flakes Paperie pour y découvrir cette jolie illustration pour le mois d'octobre.

On avait des boites et des boites de pommes, provenant des pommiers sur le terrain des parents de A. sur la rive sud. Alors, A. nous a fait une tarte toute aussi délicieuse que magnifiquement jolie. On a choisie la recette apple crumb skillet pie de Food 52 pour pouvoir faire la cuisson dans une de nos poêles en fonte. La croûte était parfaite, et la tarte si bonne qu'on l'a mangé pour déjeuner le lendemain également, avec un bon café. Un autre déjeuner préféré chez nous c'est des bagels classiques St-Viateur avec de la confiture pêche & gingembre maison de #dotandlilmom.

On a maintenant plusieurs pots de miel vintage et antiques en vente à l'atelier qu'on mettra en ligne sur la section vintage Dot & Lil très bientôt. La boite de conserve ci-dessous, fort probablement des années 1930 ou 1940, est marqué 'du Rucher de' et vient de Sabrevoie, tout proche de où A. a grandi et où ses parents habitaient quand ils se sont rencontrés. J'ai vue des centaines de pots de miel vintage au fil des années mais rien aussi beau que celui-ci. Il restera dans notre cuisine!

Cet imprimé 'Marche Avec Moi' print de Unik Printshop faisait parti de mon cadeau de noel à A. il y a deux ans, et on n'arrête pas de le placer dans de différentes pièces de l'appartement pour qu'on puisse l'apprécier dans de différents décors.

Cet ensemble de Gin St. George's a été rapporté d'un voyage récent en Californie. On aime découvrir chaque saveur avec un nouveau cocktail automnal.

Ça faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas sortie nos taies d'oreiller 'Good Night' et 'Bonne Nuit' de Stay Home Club. Ce sont de loin mes préférées (et j'ai l'embarras du choix en literie, croyez-moi!)
