Canada
Free shipping on orders of $75 or more. For orders under this amount, shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Orders are prepared and shipped via Canada Post from Montréal, Quebec.
United States
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the delivery address and package weight. Orders are shipped via FedEx for to ensure faster and safer delivery, especially for fragile items.
A tracking number will be sent to you as soon as your order is shipped.
CUSTOMS & DELIVERY TIMES
International orders may be subject to customs or import duties, which are the customer’s responsibility. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination and the shipping method selected.

Q: Are Dot & Lil products or the ingredients you use tested on animals?
A: Never!
Q: Are Dot & Lil products vegan? Do they contain any animal-based ingredients?
A: Almost all Dot & Lil products are vegan! The non-vegan ones are: bottled milk bath, sachets, cubes and bubble milks (they contain super moisturizing powdered cow's milk). We also choose not to use palm oil or animal oils. If you have specific concerns about a product or ingredient just email us at info@dotandlil.com and we will be happy to advise you.
Q: Are Dot & Lil products natural?
A: All of our base formulas are natural. We choose to use both natural fragrances (essential oils) and synthetic fragrances (fragrance oils). We use essential oils when available (like lavender, bergamot, eucalyptus & lime, and more), but some of our favorite fragrances (like honeysuckle and rice flower for example) aren't available in any safe natural form, so we use super-high-quality body-safe fragrance oils to fill out our selection of amazing scents.
If you prefer to avoid our products that contain synthetic fragrances, just check the ingredient list on the product itself or on the product page. It will always indicate what we used. If it contains essential oil, it will indicate ‘’essential oil’’, if we use synthetic fragrances, it will indicate ‘’parfum'’ or '’fragrance oil’’.
Additionally, our products are almost all anhydrous, meaning they contain no water - this allows us to safely formulate them without a synthetic preservative. Q: Why has my candle burned down the center or not to the edge? Why has my wick been drowned out by wax, preventing me from finishing my candle?
You need to let your candle burn to the edge of the jar the first time you use it. Our candles are made with soy wax. The first time you burn a soy candle, made by Dot & Lil or from another company, it creates a “memory” in the wax. This wax memory will be the foundation for how the rest of the candle will burn. Because of this, it is always best to let the candle burn all the way to the edge of the jar, especially the first time it is lit. Otherwise, the candle will often not be able to burn past the ring it was extinguished at the first time, which can create “tunneling” down the center of the candle and can sometimes lead to the wick “drowning” or being extinguished by the wax. To avoid this situation, let your candle burn to the edge every time you use it, trim the wick to 1/4" before every use, and burn your candle in a safe spot without drafts
Q: Can I send my order as a gift?
A: Yes you can! Just before the check out, add a note into your order indicating that it is a gift. You can add a lovely message or buy a greeting card. Nothing in the box will list prices.
Q: I forgot/made a mistake in my order, can I modify?
A: Yes! Send us an email at info@dotandlil.com we will be happy to help if your order has not yet shipped!
Q: Can I return any product?
A: Unfortunately no. We do not take back any products for reasons of safety and hygiene.
Q: How do I apply the promotional or discount code you have so kindly given me to my order?
A: During checkout from our shopping cart, on the 'Shipping/Expedition' page, enter your discount code in the field marked 'Discount/Rabais', then click 'Apply'.
Q: Are your products available for wholesale and distribution?
A: Yes they are. We ship from Montréal, Québec (Canada). You can create a wholesale account on our wholesale platform dotandlil.store or get in touch with us at orders@dotandlil.com with your store name and address. We will be happy to send you our catalog.
Q: Do the bath products leave the bathtub dirty or slippery?
A: The classic milk bath sometimes leaves a small amount of finely ground oats near the drain, that you can rinse away with water--it doesn't stick and rinses away easily! In our products with real botanicals and flowers (bath salts, flowers, milk bath sachets and tubes) the flowers can all safely be rinsed right down the drain. Of course the flowers do sometimes cling to the side of the tub as water drains, so you may need to rinse lightly. We think it's worth it for the great botanical bathing experience! You can use the Bubble milk bath if you are looking for zero-rinsing, it leaves the bathtub 100% clean. The sparkling milk bath cubes have sweet almond oil in them, so the bathtub could be slightly slippery after use--it's usually not but always be careful getting out just in case!
