new workspace for me
What have I been up to? Well, I am in the process of remodeling a work space for Dot & Lil. As much as I have loved having my home be the center of the Dot & Lil universe (I mean, who doesn't want to climb over boxes of soap supplies to get into bed?), it is definitely the right time to make a move. I think a little bit of work/home separation will make me more productive and more focused over all.
Now as much as I wish I was moving into a deluxe studio space with built in counter tops and beautiful natural light flooding through ceiling high windows (see picture below), this simply is not the case. I know, I know, you have to walk before you can run and I am fully aware that while I may someday get my shot at a dream studio it just isn't feasible in these early days when I am still getting everything sorted out. So instead, I am moving into a very small, rather dark and currently dirty basement studio room across the street from my apartment.
I have been trying my best to be positive about what it will look like after it is sparkling clean and painted, covered in soap and smelling like fragrance oils. Humph...it sure does have a long way to go! I will make sure to post before and afters of this one...because believe me, I am in serious need of an after!
