studio makeover mayhem

This week so far has been quite heavily dedicated to the crazy spring project of giving the studio what has turned out to be an almost complete makeover. What started out as an idea to paint some furniture pieces and add pops of color has turned, somehow, into a full-on re-vamp. New curtains, painting everything in site, complete furniture rehabs (including a few pieces I've picked up in the halls of my building this week!), co-opting my cousin into helping me drag all the industrial furniture around (thank you Colin!), installing new fixtures (like the new coat hooks, below) and finally setting up a proper kitchen area. I have been heavily influenced by various Pinterest finds that I have pinned to my 'projects' board.

These are the kinds of projects that I love, but I have to say that it's all quite overwhelming at the moment. Especially as the studio currently looks AWFUL and is, obviously, a completely chaotic mess while this all happens. I hate hate hate working in places that are messy or dirty or out of order. Right now my OCD tendencies are definitely on edge while I try and run my business from a chaotic mess of a place!
