good neighbours

At Marché la Récré last Saturday I had great vendors on either side of me and thought I'd share with you guys! To my left were the lovely jewelery creations of Sophie Tran with Unexpected Endeavours . We also showed together at the Collaboration of Quebec Artists show I talked about here. Her jewelery is fun and I can't stop buying it. So far I have 3 pairs of her earrings (the ones on the blue plate below) and (Rosemary if you're reading this, block your ears) have bought my sister's Christmas present. And there's a bunch more stuff I want! Check out her Etsy shop, Yellow Chrysanthemum and take a look at these awesome items! You can also email her at sotran86@yahoo.com to find out what shows she'll be doing and find out about ordering. Her stuff is available in Montreal at Katrin Leblond.

These are real dendrobium orchids covered in resin! Love it.

And on my right were some very well-executed and creative paper goods by Samantha Star from Paper Candy. I got distracted but I meant to pick up some cupcake paper clips, because my life just isn't complete without them. And I'd love to have her create some custom paper projects for Dot & Lil one of these days! The paper cake, pictured below, gave me some soap packaging ideas that the wheels are still turning on in my head. You can also follow her on Twitter, @papercandyca. Isn't that banner with the clear panels great? Want.
